ABOUT

Skyline Shooting Sports 4-H Club is focused on shooting education, citizenship, leadership, and growth in youth ages 9-19. We teach safety and basic marksmanship in:

- Archery
- BB Gun
- Air Rifle
-Smallbore Rifle
-Trap (shotgun)
-Skeet (shotgun)

While a large part of our club is about learning a shooting sports discipline, it is much more than that. When we conduct our roadside and boat ramp clean-ups, among other service opportunities, we take a role in our community and work to make a positive impact in it. We also teach leadership in many ways. Club members have the opportunity, and are encouraged, to compete in the Warren County 4-H Contest, Northern District Contest and the Spring Air Competition in the areas of public speaking, presentations and Share-the-Fun.. At 4-H Day at the Capitol, members are able to speak to state delegates and senators and be representatives of 4-H and shooting education. Members of 15 years and older also have the opportunity to become Virginia State 4-H Shooting Ambassadors. Within this program there are various opportunities to meet new people you may share interests with, to improve your public speaking ability, to become a more effective leader, and act as a steward of shooting education and 4-H.
