October 7, 2018
One of our senior members, Nick Manfredi, competed in the 2018 Virginia 4-H Archery Championships at Holiday Lake 4-H Center. He won first place in 3-D and 5th place in FITA and Field targets. Overall, he came in 3rd place and now has the opportunity to compete for the state of Virginia at the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships next summer in Grand Island, Nebraska.

September 9, 2018
This year we had 6 members compete at the VA 4-H State Shoot. They competed in archery, air rifle, BB Gun, Trap, Skeet, 3 Position Smallbore Light Rifle, and for the first time, Target Sprint. One member came home with a gold medal in archery and another received a bronze in archery. We are looking forward to next year.

















August 11, 2018
The Skyline Shooting Sports 4-H Club competed at the Northern District 4-H Shooting Championship in Culpeper, Va. We had members place 1st and 2nd high individual in BB gun, 2nd place individual in Trap, 2nd place individual in No Let-off archery division, and 3rd place individual in Traditional Barebow archery division. Our senior shotgun team also placed 2nd in Trap and 3rd in Skeet.

May 17, 2018
Our club won 3rd place and a $300 award from the Warren County Anti-Litter Council for cleaning up our adopted street, Criser Rd., picking up trash at our local boat ramps, and for building the monofilament recycling tubes.

April 29, 2018
Two of our 4-H members became certified 4-H shotgun apprentices and three of our adult volunteers became certified 4-H shotgun instructors. Our club coordinated the instructor training for the Northern District 4-H clubs in Star Tannery, VA. We would like to thank Seven Bends 4-H Shooting Education Club for their help with this training and the NORVA Rod and Gun Club for hosting us.

April 7, 2018
Two of our 4-H members competed in the Northern District 4-H Contests. They both competed in the Shooting Sports category of Presentations and both received blue ribbons. Unfortunately, there could only be one purple ribbon winner.

March 8, 2018
A few of our members participated in the Warren County 4-H Contest and came home with blue ribbons.

February 10, 2018
Our club built monofilament recycling containers to put out at waterways in Warren and it's surrounding counties. This project is done with the help of the Warren County Anti-Litter Council.







January 30, 2018
We participated in 4-H Day a the Capitol. We toured the Capitol and the Supreme Court Building.

January 27, 2018
For our community service this month, our members cleaned up the sides of Criser Rd. The new sidewalk is a nice addition.






December 4, 2017
Our officers attended the Warren County Officer Training where they learned the characteristics of an officer through various activities.







November 5, 2017
At the 2017 Warren County 4-H Achievement Banquet many of our members received awards for the 2016-17 4-H year. Three of our members won the Outstanding 4-Her Award in the senior member, junior member and new member categories. Three of our members won Perfect Attendance awards. Our club was also presented with the Banner Club Award. We could not have achieved this award without all of our members involvement and dedication this past year.

October 28, 2017
Our club hosted the Skyline Archery Fun Shoot at the Warren County Fairgrounds. We had six 4-H clubs from six different counties in the Northern District compete in our fun shoot. We started our morning with a class for new archers and ended the day with a fun balloon shoot. A fun time was had by all! A special thank you to Keith Henry of Seven Bends 4-H Shooting Ed Club for helping us score the contestants, to the Warren County Fair for letting us use their facility, and to Trigger Time for the use of their equipment.

Allison Cooper interviewed with Janet Michael of The Valley Today show on The River 95.3 radio station. Allison and two other 4-Hers talked about their involvement with 4-H and what it has meant to them. All three girls did a great job! Listen here.

Members met at Farm Bureau for the Hay Bale Decorating Contest. We turned our hay bale into an archery target.
